Review
This book is both loved and hated, mostly for the same reason. This is not what we would call high literature. Yet so many people love these books. Star Wars isn't great either - the dialog being kind of simple, yet it too connected with something in our society when it was released. These books are doing the same, if not in as big a way. They are connecting with something that certain readers are looking for. These readers want to escape. They want adventure. They want romance. They want power. Yes, they also want sex. All the things that their real lives will never achieve, but that they still long for. This book has all of that to offer. It is a passionate fantasy to make our stressful everyday lives a little more bearable. It succeeds in this. This book is like raspberry hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles. It is indulgence, in a safe and fun way. There are many books that I would recommend ahead of this, which I think are greater works. This book is still worth reading. Recommended.
