Synopsis
The earth has been taken control of by aliens who want to study humans by putting some humans in Games where they create virtual simulations. Mayuki is drafted into the Games.

Review
Possibly the best in this issue of Asimov’s, this is what I love in science fiction. The writing is very good, character and world building quite good and the ideas interesting. Certain things I would like to have seen more of, like the plight of the robots that serve the aliens. But still an excellent story. I will look for more from this author.
