Review

This is my first try with Tidhar and I’m very disappointed. The writing is good and the characters are good. The problem is that the space setting is incidental. This story could easily have been located on present day Earth with only a little rewriting of details. There’s no idea here and the journey only documents the man’s sexual and drug encounters. A lot of time is spent on those details. If you want drugs and alternative/kinky sex, then this fits the bill. If you want a good story, look elswhere.
