Review

The very start of the story is in a Martian pleasure palace with an orgy going on. The description is pretty safe, but still wasn’t expecting that. Stillwell’s daughter is introduced, but she is your standard young girl who reacts with indignation to the guy she instantly likes and they start fighting. Pretty stock characterization. And of course she stows away on the spaceship. Pretty predictable. But it is a pretty enjoyable early space opera with some very imaginative parts. I found it to be better than the first story, When Planets Clashed. Yet kind of simple. Only recommended if you like the 1930s space operas.
