Review

This is interesting. It is part of the Tales of Agria that the Brontes wrote about in their teenage years. Charlotte was only 13 when she wrote this. You can tell. It is full of run-ons and misspellings. She doesn’t use quotes to signify dialog. The story is extremely short and feels more like a minor incident in a larger story. It may have been since an earlier novel set in their fantasy world was written two years earlier. I don’t have any idea what happened to that novel. I couldn’t find any information about copies. I would only recommend this for the Bronte fan who is curious about their formative years.
