Review

This story was written to complete and to update the two earlier stories and so it has an elaborate explanation of the whole series being on a distant planet and the humans the descendents of a crashed spaceship. The earth life was seeded on the planet at an earlier time. This change was pretty well done and made a certain sense, but still seems contrived. The story itself is again a repeat of the formula. Burl leads the tribe through adventures to safety. More details are revealed about the world and it is interesting world building. But the three stories taken as a series seem disjointed. Only the first story stands as an excellent adventure.
