Synopsis
The story starts with action, moments after the team of main characters get attacked. Murderbot rescues them, but they ask the question, why weren’t they told about dangerous creatures before they came to the planet. The team is a group coming to mine the planet? - on contract to a corporation. Then they notice that there are missing sections of the survey map they were given. And then another base is in trouble so they go to investigate, to find that all humans were killed by murderbot son the rampage. Someone has bypassed their governor programming.

Review
Halfway through this book I feel like I am reading a book by Harry Harrison - Deathworld, The Stainless Steel Rat or Bill the Galactic Hero. The same strong outsider hero up against some sort of mystery orchestrated by someone or something that wants everyone dead. Gripping action sequences. Loving it! I thought Harrison had died.
