Review

The greatest vampire novel ever written and one of the very best horror novels ever. If I could rate this higher than a Top Tale I would. This has defined the vampire story and paved the way to modern horror. Unlike many horror novels today though, this one creeps you out throughout, but leaves you happy in the end. In between you are glued to the story and don’t want to stop. The only thing I didn’t like was Van Helsing’s broken english combined with the very long speeches he gave. I have a hard time deciphering dialects and accents in writing. But that was small.
