Review
Beast was a really good book but it lives in a shadow. It can’t help but be compared to Jaws, which set the standard for all books and movies like this. While I think Beast compares favorably with Jaws, it tends to be a bit too much like Jaws to really shine on its own.
But if you have never read or seen Jaws or can just put it out of your mind while reading this, it is a good story, with some interesting characters - a couple that were standard villains but that didn’t spoil it for me. I liked most of the characters. The story kept moving well and I felt it was believable all the way through. This is just a bestseller thriller not great literature, but it is a very satisfying book!
