Review
Greg Bear doesn’t see this story as at all significant and has not included it in collections, not even his complete short stories collections. It was written when he was a teenager, but it did get published professionally. It’s very short. I can’t disagree that this isn’t a polished story, but it does have some really interesting ideas, especially in this time where political extremism seems to be getting much worse. I think it’s worth reading for that.
