Review
Enjoyable story, very imaginative. What forms can life take? What sort of ecological catastrophes might come from our technologies? What if we accidentally touched off something that will change the landscape of the whole world. Could we live in that world? These are the questions this short story touches off. As usual Ballard does it in a kind of surreal manner, not using hard science, but using his artistic imagination.
