Review
This is a case where the brief synopsis doesn’t do justice. This story is a weird steampunk story set in an alternate world where nuns practice science and are also warriors. The story is only of one brief battle and focuses on just one young Sister. This would have fit perfectly into Planet Stories. It is good old space opera. The monsters are very imaginiative and the technology just as crazy as the old science fiction. Yet it was still very current. The situation of this alternate world is fascinating. I’m hoping there will be more stories set in this world. Brilliant!
