Review
Very early work and not all the work of Lovecraft, though I can't really tell how much of this is Lovecraft and how much is by Winifred Jackson. It does have the feel of a Lovecraft story. Just like the work of William Hope Hodgeson, this story gives you a mystery wothout providing explanations. It is more about the strange beauty of the dreamlike world than anything else, with only suggestions of something that is not explained. I don’t mind this, but this story maybe could have gone just a bit further. I’m left wanting more and feeling let down. Recommended for the Lovecraft completist.
