Review
Aldiss does a great job of building this future world of a decayed human society enslaved by thier machines for such a short story. Very different from other SF written at this time. The writing is very mysterious at the same time that it gives much detail. A compelling future. I do wish it had been expanded into a larger story, but it is very good just as it is. Recommended to those who like bizarre dystopias.
