short story
By Henry Kuttner

Advertising executive Mr. Young wakes up one morning wearing a halo.

History

First publication: Unknown August 1939

Review

A humorous fantasy story, the specialty of Unknown Magazine. It is well-written and is funny enough, but the humor has paled with time and changes in society so that some of the humor isn’t all that funny anymore. I also don’t feel it goes far enough in speculating about this situation and presenting the difficulties the character would have. There’s a whole lot more story here that Kuttner stops short of. But I did enjoy it.
