Synopsis

Two aliens stop at a “refresher station”—Earth.

History

First publication: Astounding Science Fiction, October 1946

Review

Told mostly from the point of view of the aliens, which highlights the story’s greatest weakness. The aliens come across as too human. The story though is an excellent look at science and superstition and rational thinking. Recommended.
