Review

Before he wrote any science fiction, Weinbaum wrote some poetry and this novel, a romantic comedy that was serialized in newspapers. The novel feels fairly amateurish. The motives of the characters often don’t make sense and some plot devices are questionable and likely to offend some of today’s readers. It has it’s moments, but I would say only the Weinbaum completist should bother with this. Weinbaum’s SF works are much better.
