Yaran prepares for the day his mate enters his mind. Then his village is attacked and everything changes.

Review
A good story and an interesting exploration of an essentially human group but that is capable of reading each others minds, thereby linking the people of the village to one another. The society that developed from this is interesting. This definitely is not earth, but it does seem some kind of human relatives are involved. That’s the maddening thing about the story is that this isn’t ever explained. But still pretty good.
