Review

From any other writer I would think this is a standard urban fantasy story, but coming from Dick you automatically start looking for something else. I think you get it too. There is an uncertainty about the things that are happening in Shadrach’s mind, and in the thoughts of the other townspeople. The thought that it is all illusion and Shadrach is mad. So what is real in this story?
