Synopsis
Spacefarers come to a planet that has been destroyed by atomic fission. They are fired on and have to land to make repairs.

Review
This story introduces another of Dick’s preoccupations, that of computers and robots running society. In this case they keep certain machineries running and operating even after man is long dead. Did the machines kill of the humans? Or did they just happen to be able to keep functioning after men had killed themselves? The story leaves many questions, but again it’s the sort that get you thinking deeper.
