Review

This is quite a book. On the surface it is a vampire novel. Underneath it is an exploration of our culture, our behavior, our relationships. There is much here to disturb you, much to make you laugh, much to reach into the dark areas of your own life and make you think. The main character is an unlikely hero because she is a real person, or so she seems to come alive. She and her family and her friends are very believable. Don’t let the title make you think this is a simple little comedy. And don’t expect it to be just another read. A great book should work on many levels and this one does. Recommended.
