Review

The first remarkable thing to strike you in reading this is the incredible and visual imagination, something found in all the best works by Williamson. He had a sense of wonder to his stories that remains unmatched. The writing style is very simple and typical of the pulp magazine sin 1930, with every other sentence having an exclamation point. In other words, Williamson himself was very young and had a lot to learn about writing. This may make the novel unreadable for a lot of people today.
