Review
The world building, illustrations, and dialog are all considerably well done. This is a very important and influential work. It is fascinating how a great deal of modern interpretation of any form of Christian afterlife has been taken not directly from the Bible, but from this piece of literature. We can see this today as a work that has inspired a lot of fantasy and horror authors. What we don’t really see is how this work is mainly a moral attack on many people contemporary to Dante.
