Synopsis
Someday an Earthman will land on Mars, a hero and proof of man’s Climb to supremacy. If he finds intelligent life there he’ll extend a greeting; if it is refused, how will man react?

A simple little story, but with a bit of psychology about the main character and his need for the Martian to react to him. This would only be of interest to serious Silverberg fans.
