Synopsis
Earth is at odds with the Federation of the Outer Planets. The Federation thinks it has a number of scientific marvels that will allow it to win a war with Earth.

Review
Not a bad story, but in many ways kind of simple. The basic idea of Earth fighting with the other space colonies in the solar system is one that was common when the story was written. The twist to the story I believe also had already been done. The writing is simplistic and the characters are not very good. Brunner improved his work with this story, but still leaves much to be desired.
